NOT Ready to Adult Yet

This blog is long overdue but I had to share my experience from last year. The perfect getaway! I was on the fence about attending New York fashion week and decided to plan a last minute getaway with my girls to the beautiful PEC. I text my friends Melissa and Natalia, 1 Hour later we were making our way from Ottawa to the County for lots of laughs, girl talk and WINE off course.

The Prettiest Decor

We were welcomed with a cold glass of Rosé from a local winery. We received a List of of all the activities in the area and the MAP of wineries within the local radius. The June Motel is a converted motor lodge in the prettiest girly pink tones and retro decor. Lets just say its an Instagramable Dream. Its amazing what they have done with simple touches and limited space. The thing I appreciate the most of that these brilliant women came together and created something epic. The Sauble beach location is opening in the next few weeks. I have put my name on the list and want to book this badly.

There is a small Bohemian garden with a fire pit and Smores Kits in the evening. We arrived in our room to a local cheese board and personal welcome layout. We couldn’t help but notice every detail and the charm was unparalleled. There is so much to do in Prince Edward County and I really wanted to take the ladies to Sand banks Provincial Park. The Park is our family favourite each year.

The girls loved the beach and the sunset was simply stunning. After our beach adventure we went to the Drake Devonshire for a meal. Another gem of a spot! This place is highly recommend with water front views and great FOOD in an Urban setting.

We went back to the June Motel for the night and woke up with a plan to go to a few wineries. We were having so much fun and only ended going to one due to limited time.

The Sank banks winery is a stunning property. We tasted a few different wines and I bought some for the hubby. Be sure to get outfitted with a bicycle in the county to go from place to place. I also have to remember to take a cooler to get cheese and preserves for the perfect picnic.

Its so worth it do some homework about the various spots to go to and plan your trip. This was so last minute but we achieved a lot.

There is the Prince Edward Country Lavender festival that happens in July that is so popular each year. Here are some spots that you should consider when planning your trip:

Seedlings at Angelas Inn – Breakfast was divine and this place is charming

Stay and Sail Boat Tours – Perfect Outing for all ages and enjoy the beautiful views.

Lake on the Mountain -Divine lunch spot and terrace overlooking the edge of PEC Escarpment. Really beautiful and often busy. Book Ahead

Bike Rentals – Closson Road Cycles -A great cycle to Shed Chetwyn Farms and Closson Chase Vineyard.

Hot Spot – Grange Winery

I really hope these recommendations helps you plan your next road trip. The time is not enough each time I go to this area. You will fall deeply involve and I feel blessed to have these spots so close to home. There are so many other spots I want to try but I cant share them until I try them.
